Lace in Puerto Vallarta

Went on a little trip with the boyfriend last week to Puerto Vallarta and stayed at the amazing Now Amber Resort! He only got a week break from school before having to go back again, so we decided to book a trip to somewhere relaxing and tropical. It was absolutely perfect and a great backdrop for my blog photos!
There will be more coming for the next week!

Knit Sweater and Denim Shorts

Sometimes, I just want to wear a large sweater and shorts and just call it day because it's just ones of those days! I love being as comfy and casual as possible most of the time, so you won't be seeing me in heels or anything like that on a daily basis. That's only for special occasions!

Gold Chain Belt and Blues

I wanted to wear a simple outfit the other day so I paired my blue tank with my black circle skirt and blazer, but there was something missing. So I decided to add my gold chain belt that added a touch of edginess to my entire outfit. The belt came with a dress I bought from Lulus a while ago and I love being able to take part of another outfit and using it with something else!

Outdoor Street Food Cinema

Went to an event called Outdoor Street Food Cinema this past weekend and had a blast! It's an outdoor movie event where they show a movie (of course) and a bunch of food trucks show up to provide yummy things for you to eat! This past weekend was "Pitch Perfect", so they had acappela performances, singing contests, and some actors from the movie show up for a Q&A. I, of course, indulged in the food trucks and just laid around enjoying the beautiful weather and company of my friends!
What a great way to spend a summer night, right?! Definitely try to check out this event. I think it happens just about every weekend during the summer, so look up their schedule and choose a weekend!

White lace crochet

Went up to San Francisco for one of my best friend's wedding and had a day to explore, so I definitely took advantage of it and ate like crazy! I wore this outfit for my day out. I got the lace top from NecessaryClothing and decided to wear it out on this perfect sunny day. It needs to be worn with a tank underneath because it's quite hole-y. I love how comfy and airy it is and it's such a great piece for Summer! You guys know how much I love lace and I'll only be collecting more!

Black Tank and Berry Denim

Went to the mall with my sister yesterday for some sister bonding time and stocked up on some things for Summer! Here are just some pictures of my outfit from yesterday. Just kept things simple and comfy because I needed to survive my trek through the entire mall!

Summer Ready!

I have been transitioning my wardrobe for the warmer weather lately and booked a cruise and a trip to Puerto Vallarta for the Summer so I've been coming up with outfits that I could wear to lounge around and to the beach! I've also been working out to tone up so that wearing my swimsuits wouldn't make me super self conscious about my "flabbier" areas. :P

Anyways, here's something I'd wear for a trip to the beach or to sight see in. It's very comfy and easy to wear over your swimwear!

Tiered Waist Shorts: Two Ways to Wear it

I bought these shorts a little while ago because I wanted shorts that weren't denim and these have such nice pleats on them that give it a little more structure and sleekness. But at the same time, they are also very soft and feminine from the billowy aspect of it, which makes it almost look like a skirt. I came up with two outfits for it that can be worn for almost any occasion. Hope you like them!

One Dress, Three Looks!

Sorry I haven't posted anything up since last week but things have been busy and I didn't have time to take outfit pictures or edit. But here's a new post and I decided to focus it around one dress and just come up with three different looks.

I know that sometimes you look in your closet and think you have nothing to wear, but there are numerous outfits you can come up with with just a few pieces! I am definitely guilty of saying I don't have anything to wear and run out to buy new clothes but I'm trying very hard to use what I have and be creative with it. Plus, it makes it kinda more fun!

Anyways, so here's the dress I'm going to use. It's a dark glittery bandage dress. I chose something that's slightly harder to work with. I could have chosen a very versatile plain black dress, but let's have a little fun and make it a little more difficult!

Dress: Papaya (Similar HERE and HERE)

Look #1
My first looks is a casual everyday look you can wear. I used the dress as a skirt and threw a tank and cardigan over it. The sparkle kinda adds a little something to the outfit but it's still very wearable for just an everyday look! I didn't want the footwear to make it too dressy so I threw on my leather boots. You like?...

Cardigan: Target (Similar HERE)
Boots: Payless (Similar HERE)
Necklace: Charise Noel

Look #2
For a dressier look, I used the dress as a top. I put on a full black skirt over it and added a white blazer. You can wear this for a date or a night out or a very dressy day look. I'm always so mono-colored/chromed or whatnot so I added my bright red pumps for some extra dazzle! Remember, if you wear a skirt over your dress, to tuck your dress in or make sure your skirt covers it. I noticed in my last picture that the dress was peaking out underneath my skirt, but I guess I can just say I went for a peplum look ;)

Look #3
The last look took me a little while to figure out but I wanted to find something to wear underneath the dress this time, so I put on a basic scoopneck white t-shirt. This makes it look like a completely different dress. A little more feminine and slightly more casual.

Tshirt: H&M (Similar HERE and HERE)
Boots: Aldo (Similar HERE)

What do you guys think?! Did I do a good job? I wore the dress as a skirt, top, and changed it into a different dress completely. Which one's your favorite?
