Holiday Party Looks!

Happy Holidays everyone! I have been trying to figure out what to wear for my holiday parties and I wanted to put in "Christmas-y touches" into these outfits just to be more festive and show my holiday spirit. From hints of sparkles, reds, and greens, I was able to come up with these three ideas! I hope you like them and find some inspiration for your own outfit!

Love you all and I hope that your holidays are full of fun and love!

Casual Metallics
This outfit is more of what I'm going to wear to a holiday party. I love being casual and comfortable, so I used a metallic ivory top that adds a small hint of fun and sparkle. In certain lights, I'll be GLOWING! :) It's been cold so booties and blazers are my best friends right now! And, I love wearing beanies in the Winter because  I feel like it gives you a bit of edge to your style, so I'm wearing my light grey beret/beanie.

Dressy Embellishment
I bought these jacquard shorts just last week at Forever21 and my boyfriend was wondering why I was buying shorts in the Winter. I'm thinking, WHY NOT?! My reasoning is that we live in LA and it's never really really cold here and I love the shimmery finish and pretty floral embellishments on it! Who could resist?! With this outfit, I wanted it to be slightly more dressy and fun, so I played with a hue of green and I paired it with my shorts with it's perfect shimmery finish! My white leather blazer with the black lapels makes it slightly more edgy rather than super soft and feminine.

Flirty Red
Who could resist this Winter's most popular color? Deep red! I saw this dress on Asos during their Black Friday sales and knew that I had to have it! There's mesh and a bow design on the front with a fun girly full skater skirt. It didn't come in petite sizes so I had to take it to the tailor's for some alterations. The skirt was pretty long and hit me somewhere slightly below my knees. I don't want to look frumpy and shorter than I already am, so my tailor cut it so that it was a couple of inches above my knees. Paired with my sparkly strappy heels and you have the most holiday appropriate outfit EVER!
I know that it might be much colder everywhere else, so if you want to wear this, add some black tights and black pumps with a dressy blazer or coat over it. PERFECT!

White Leather

So recently, I've noticed that I've been leaning towards anything with a hint of leather in it. I bought a leather gold studded cuff, which is what I'm wearing below, a leather gold plated belt, and of course, my favorite, this white leather jacket. All of these things are FAUX leather, of course.

I had received a $15 off coupon from Jcpenney about two months ago and was super excited to use it! Jcpenney has very affordable fashion and I can usually find something I like there. So I was browsing with my sister to find jeans actually, and I stumbled on this white jacket. I love blazers to begin with but when I touched it, it was faux leather!! Ahhh!! You can sense my excitement, right?...

So I had to get it. I believe it was originally $40 and with my $15 coupon, I paid about $28 total! I love love love this jacket and it has a leopard print interior, which gives it a little extra something fun.

Chiffon Slit Skirt

I have been looking for a perfect slit maxi skirt for a while now and stumbled upon this one on YesStyle.com. It is a great balance between dressy and casual and there are two slits- one on each side. I can definitely dress it up or down with a neutral color like black. It is super comfortable and breezy, which is making me want to buy it in another color. I wanted a creamy white or beige but I was afraid it would have been too sheer. I'll think about it!

Definitely having an Angelina Jolie moment!

Orange Polka Dots

It has been scorching hot in LA for the past week or two and I find it almost unbearable to wear pants, but I have to for work. I've been wearing as many sheer blouses as possible because they are so light weight and breezy. I love the orange polka dots on this blouse and the way it ties in the front. It's very girly and fun at the same time, and most of all, it's super thin.

I hope that you're all surviving the heat wave. I'm hoping Fall comes sooner because I can't wait to wear sweaters and boots.
Stay cool everyone!

Just like I said I would, here are some pictures from my Vegas trip over the past weekend! We had a going-away bash for one of my friends and had ourselves tons of fun in Sin City. Over the weekend, we ate a lot, went to Tao Beach for a day club, night club at XS, ate some more, and I won $8!!

Polka Dots and Peter Pans

I have been wanting a Peter Pan collar blouse for a long time now but I never saw an affordable one that I really liked until I saw this one online! It's from Forever21, which of course, is super reasonably priced. I love basic colors, so it was great, but the sheerness and the buttons on the back made it absolutely perfect to add to my closet!

Today is officially the first day of Summer and I'm excited for adventures, so I'll definitely have pictures of new places to eat and summer appropriate outfits!

Grandma Shirt

About to leave on a small wine tasting trip this week and I'm so excited! I'm actually just excited to go see Hearst Castle and for the bed and breakfast. With wine tasting, I'm not much of a drinker in any way (even wine), so we'll see how that goes. Stay tuned for my pictures from the trip later this week!

In these photos up here, I wore a sheer top that I absolutely love and my leather shorts. My boyfriend always called this shirt my "GRANDMA SHIRT". I guess he doesn't like the fabric and that the style is so covered up and conservative. Even when I told him that it's really SHEER, he doesn't agree. Anyways, I love it, so I'll keep wearing it. I feel that it softens up my leather shorts and strappy heels. And of course, it's super comfy!

Sorry... I just really noticed that my hair was so frizzy in these pictures. It was really hot that day and I didn't have time to do anything with it. So pay no attention to it!
