I didn't have a chance to put up a post about my food adventures during our weekend getaway to San Francisco, so here it is! We fit in as much eating as we possibly could and here are some of the shots I was able to get.

The Holidays in NYC (Part 3)
On our last day in the city, we went to our scheduled Top of the Rock tour, where we got to go up to the top of the Rockefeller Center and see the amazing view! We were able to see all of Central Park there as well as the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty! The day was absolutely perfect for us to go up there and we had tons of fun getting amazing shots!
We then made our way to Grand Central Station to check it out. Man, was it busy there! I guess due to the holiday season, it was pretty crowded or maybe it's always like that.
After walking around Grand Central, we took the subway and made our way to the Flatiron Building to check it out. It's pretty cool and I love all of the little shops and stands there. We sat around and got ourselves some warm tea to drink while enjoying the day.
After we spent the day roaming around the city and getting dinner, we swung back to the Rockefeller Center to make an attempt to get a good picture of the Christmas tree. It was still very busy there but we made our way to the front to get a good shot of that iconic tree! That was the goal of my entire trip and after a couple of attempts, I finally got to see it on our last night! Success!

Foodie Friday: NY Edition (Part 2)
On our second day in the city, we made it a mission to try as many places and see as many things as possible. We ate at quite a few different places and walked until we couldn't walk anymore! I'm going to let the pictures of all our eating adventures from that day speak for themselves!

The Holidays in NYC (Part 2)
This was our most eventful day in the city! We spent the entire day walking around and exploring a bunch of places around the city! We started our day at the Rockefeller to purchase and pick up our city passes. The city pass allows you to see some of the biggest attractions, such as museums, Top of the Rock, Statue of Liberty, etc for one set price, which saved us quite a bit of money. BUT be warned, you only have about a week to use the pass but since we were only there for a few days, we crammed a lot in and were pretty tired.
After picking up our passes, we went to grab lunch at the super popular street vendor cart called the Halal Guys, which serves chicken and rice. It sounds pretty simple, but it is super delicious. We shared a platter between the both of us which was great because we wanted to make sure we had enough room to eat more things throughout the day!
After eating lunch at the cart, we decided to walk through Central Park to get to the Metropolitan Art Museum. I did watch Gossip Girl and wanted a picture on the steps of the Met just like in the show!! Central Park was such an amazing place. I love how big and vast it is and there is always so much going on there. There are people performing here and there, ice skating, volleyball, random vendors, exercising, and so on. It was so nice and lively!
After we walked around the Met, which was huge by the way, we took the subway towards Greenwich Village, where we had dinner. You will see the food on my Foodie Friday post this coming week, but after dinner, we decided to try to squeeze in the Empire State Building since that was included in our city pass. The line was really long but we finally made it to the top to get some great city shots in. It would have been more fun if I wasn't super exhausted by then, but it's okay. At least we got to go there!
We called it a night after we left the Empire. Needed to get some sleep for our next day!

Foodie Friday: NY Edition
Ippudo Westside
Our first dinner in the city was at a ramen place that our friends recommended. It was definitely needed because it was pretty cold outside and hot noodle soup was just what I wanted! There was a pretty long wait as it was Friday night and everyone wanted something warm to eat as well! We decided to be patient because we were on vacation and this was on our list.
We were seated at the bar/counter area and ordered a couple appetizers, which included their amazing pork buns and a squid dish. The pork buns were my favorite part of the dinner and these would have to be my favorite pork buns ever! Yep, I said it!
The ramen was also pretty good. They were pretty pricey from what I'm used to but what the heck?! I'm on vacation! Let's splurge a little!

The Holidays in NYC (Part 1)
Terribly sorry for being inactive on my blog for a while! The holidays have been really busy and I took a trip to New York City for a couple of weeks. I'll be writing about my trip in the next couple of posts and feature my meals in my Foodie Friday posts to give you a recap of my vacation!
The boyfriend and I spent the beginning of the trip seeing Time Square and walking around Manhattan just so that we can become familiar with the area. We made sure to stay within walking distance of our main must-see spots, such as Rockefeller, Time Square, etc. I loved the Christmas decorations and the beautiful light displays they had up for the holiday season. What better place to enjoy the holidays than NYC?!!

Kendra's Fashion Challenge
I was so excited when I was invited by Kendra Thornton to participate in her fashion challenge for her trip to Orlando. It's amazing to have her reach out and ask for fashion advice, so let's start!
Here is the challenge:
Here is the challenge:
Every city has its own special style, and Orlando’s is awesome. The laid-back
environment in this city is complemented by the family-friendly nature of
most of the local attractions. There are lots of fun things to do here, and
people of all ages will find something fun to enjoy. Whether I’m taking in
a show with the entire family, eating with the kids at a fun local restaurant
or relaxing poolside at my hotel, I know I’ll enjoy my time the most when
I’m wearing a cute outfit that I love. This is why I created “Kendra’s fashion
challenge” !! I've contacted some of my favorite bloggers to get their fashion
input. I've been following Jennifer's fashion blog for a while and I really
enjoy her fashion choices. I can’t wait to see what awesome fashions my
favorite bloggers recommend for my adventures at Disney’s Epcot theme
park! This unique area features lots of great restaurants, many that feature
fun, family entertainment. As a 40-year-old mom, I’ve decided that I
need some help in planning what to wear for this excursion. I want to be
comfortable but still look trendy and young! My outfit could make or break
my time here at Epcot! I need the confidence to ensure that i will look great
while enjoying time with my family.

Day Outfit
These are my picks for a day outfit. Florida has a tropical feel to it, so I wanted to work with a fun print for the shorts and a soft simple white blouse that you could throw over a bathing suit if you need to jump into a pool after. A pair of cute sliver wedged sandals adds chicness to your outfit, while keeping you comfortable to walk around all day. With children, a large tote is a must to carry all the necessities! What's an outfit without accessories? The beaded wrap bracelet adds a natural tone to your outfit, keeping with the tropical theme.
Evening Outfit
Florida is very warm and humid during the summer, so a simple white dress with mesh details keeps you cool and trendy. Add a pop of color with red heels, while gold and blush accessories bring the rest of your outfit together! Perfect for a dinner or night out!
