Distressed Cut Offs

It has been super hot lately, so I've been appreciating my denim shorts and sandals so much more! I bought these cut offs just recently because I only have a pair of denim shorts in my closet, so I thought, why not add one more to my collection. I wanted to get one that was a bit more distressed and high waisted since it looks so cute on everyone else. The only thing I was worried about was the possibility of my butt cheeks hanging out...Yes, I've definitely seen that a lot in the past month on other people. But since my body has shorter and smaller proportions, these shorts don't reveal anything I don't want seen! Yay for petite-ness!

Black and White Night Out

Went out with my best friend the other night to go to a bar in Pasadena for her friend's birthday and kept things pretty casual and relaxed. I just threw on a white blouse, black pants, my ankle strap pumps, some accessories, and pulled my hair back. You can't go wrong with a simple classy look if you don't have any idea what to wear!

OHHH! And I recently found out from other bloggers that Google Reader is shutting down, so to continue following the blogs you love, you'll be able to do so on Bloglovin. You can import the blogs that you currently follow onto that website and it'll update you when there's a new post, just like Google Reader. I hope to see you all there soon!

Ways I styled a Crop Top

Hi you guys! So here's another outfit post and it was for a crop top I just purchased recently. I've been seeing crop tops everywhere and although I don't find them great for everyday wear, I do think they are cute for certain occasions! I was thinking of wearing them for my tropical vacations or for beach days. They would make great items to just throw over a bikini or to wear with shorts to frolic on the beach!

Anyways, here are two looks I came up with- one for a more dressy occasion if you dare to wear it for a night out or for a casual day outfit! Hope you guys like them!

Chambray and Sneakers

So I have to tell you guys about my 'chambray' adventure!! I've been trying to find a light and versatile chambray top for a while now but the ones that I've seen are all too pricey for me or not the right shade. The other day, I went to Target and checked in their clearance section, and lo and behold, a perfect one ON SALE!! Yessss!!

The only thing was that it's a medium, but I figured I'd want a looser fit anyways. So the clearance tag said it was $16.99, which is much better than the prices I found elsewhere. I bought it and then went home, but when I checked the receipt, they charged me the regular price at $22.99!! I figured a $6 difference wasn't a lot but I bought it mostly for the clearance price, so I went back for a refund a week later. I told the girl at the exchange and refund counter what happened so she rung it back up to check the price, but a miracle happened and the price was even lower than before! So instead of getting around $6 for a refund, I got about $13 back!! Hallelujah!!

I love deals!

Tobi Maxi Dress

I am loving this maxi dress from Tobi right now because it's so soft and I love the side slit that adds something different to it. I paired it with a sheer tank for a casual Spring look. Definitely going to be wearing this a lot when the weather gets warmer and on a Summer vacation! It is really really long on me (if you haven't noticed), so I am going to have to take it to get hemmed soon. I was just really excited to show it to you guys first!

Tiered Waist Shorts: Two Ways to Wear it

I bought these shorts a little while ago because I wanted shorts that weren't denim and these have such nice pleats on them that give it a little more structure and sleekness. But at the same time, they are also very soft and feminine from the billowy aspect of it, which makes it almost look like a skirt. I came up with two outfits for it that can be worn for almost any occasion. Hope you like them!

Outfit #1

Asymmetry

I saw this skirt when I was browsing on Tobi and knew that I needed to have it! The asymmetry is so unique and adds a little extra oomph to your outfit. Yes, I said 'oomph'. Anyways, I love pieces like this that can be very versatile and make a statement to each outfit you come up with. My only concern when ordering this was the length of the longer side of the skirt, but it turned out to be perfect (as in, not dragging on the floor). My legs are short- well, I'm just short in general so if you're taller than I am, then this wouldn't be a problem for you at all.

I paired the skirt with a regular black slouchy tank and cinched in my waist with a thick black and gold belt. I  know, this is kinda straying away from my rant about how I need to add more color to my wardrobe, but come on, you need to give me some time to gradually work on this :)

You can also dress the skirt down with a tank in a brighter color and some sandals to wear out during the day if you're looking for a more casual look. I'm very excited to wear this more often!

Tribal Print

Bought some things from Tobi just the other week and I wanted to show you one of the pieces I got! Tobi is a women's clothing website that discounts their new items, which is AWESOME, but when you join their email list, you receive 50% off of your first purchase (only full-priced items though). I was browsing the website for quite a while because I wanted pieces that would work well for the Spring and Summer. I have been wanting a chunky sweater with a simple tribal print because I saw it on someone and really really liked it! Plus, another cardigan/sweater never hurts! This one is super comfy and loose fitting which is perfect to put over anything. Versatility is always something I look for in my clothes. I can still wear this in the Spring or Summer over my shorts (like in this outfit) if I get a little cold or something.
I bought a few other things from Tobi and looking forward to using them for new outfit ideas for you guys! Talk to you later!
