Black and White Night Out

Went out with my best friend the other night to go to a bar in Pasadena for her friend's birthday and kept things pretty casual and relaxed. I just threw on a white blouse, black pants, my ankle strap pumps, some accessories, and pulled my hair back. You can't go wrong with a simple classy look if you don't have any idea what to wear!

Black Studded Dress

Wore this little number to a banquet on Saturday night and it was perfect for how much I ate. I knew that I didn't want a super form-fitting dress that would prevent me from eating my steak dinner, so this was the perfect route for me. This black dress has a criss cross back and small gold studs on the front. It was super comfy and paired with strappy heels made it perfect for any occasion!

Black Lace

Went to a bachelorette party on a cruise and wore this lacy number for our formal night. I love lace and the open back gives you a bit of unexpected skin! It was surprisingly comfortable and is definitely one of my favorite dresses ever!! Little black dress for the win!!

Tiered Waist Shorts: Two Ways to Wear it

I bought these shorts a little while ago because I wanted shorts that weren't denim and these have such nice pleats on them that give it a little more structure and sleekness. But at the same time, they are also very soft and feminine from the billowy aspect of it, which makes it almost look like a skirt. I came up with two outfits for it that can be worn for almost any occasion. Hope you like them!

Leather Jacket and Knitted Sweater

It was rainy in LA and I was super cold (yes, I know, LA people are such babies when it comes to the cold). So I layered a pullover sweater with a knitted cardigan and then a leather jacket over all of it. All bundled up now!

Cardigan and Studded Flats

Been working like crazy lately and most of the time, I don't dress up that much anyways. My job generally requires me to be on my feet and is not easy to do with heels, so flats and boots are definitely my first choice for work. Speaking of flats, I was at Target the other day and needed to get new flats to replace my nude ones that are falling apart on me. I spotted these black ones out with gold studs on them and knew that I needed them!
They are super super comfortable and I can't resist black and gold details on anything!!

Chiffon Slit Skirt

I have been looking for a perfect slit maxi skirt for a while now and stumbled upon this one on YesStyle.com. It is a great balance between dressy and casual and there are two slits- one on each side. I can definitely dress it up or down with a neutral color like black. It is super comfortable and breezy, which is making me want to buy it in another color. I wanted a creamy white or beige but I was afraid it would have been too sheer. I'll think about it!

Definitely having an Angelina Jolie moment!

Mary Janes with a bow

Wanted a cute pair of shoes that were feminine and soft, so when I saw these on Yesstyle.com, I definitely had to get them. They are really comfortable and just adorable. And I'm in love with the color mint these days, so here's another addition to my mint collection.

New Years Eve Outfit Ideas

Night Out on the Town
Outfit: Dress-Foreign Exchange. Shoes: Payless. Ring: Forever21.

If you want a look for a night out on the town to a club or New Years Eve party, a little black dress can never go wrong. I chose this one because it has a sleek metallic hint to it and the studs add a little fun to the dress. I wore strappy heels that have reptile details on it and they also add a bit of sparkle.

Something Sparkly
Outfit: Shirt- Forever21. Skirt: Gifted. Necklace: Forever21. Shoes: Target.

Sequins are definitely a must have during New Years Eve. If you don't want to wear a cocktail dress or be too dressed up, just find a nice sequin skirt and a comfortable top to wear. I paired this skirt that I got as a Christmas present with a comfortable off shoulder blouse. To dress it up a little more, I added my spiky necklace and red lips. Have fun with it and definitely be comfortable.

Family Party
Outfit: Dress: Gifted (from GoJane). Jacket: H&M. Belt: Target. Ring: Forever21. Shoes: Reflections Shoes Store

If you want a classier look or spending time with family for New Years, opt for a more sophisticated look. I wore this tiered blush dress that I got for Christmas with a coat that has pink sleeves. The dress doesn't give me much shape, so I added a dark plum skinny belt to give myself a waist. The back detail of the dress is so pretty and feminine, but also gives a little peek of your back.

I hope you enjoyed my post. Have a fun and safe New Years everyone!
