Gold Chain Belt and Blues

I wanted to wear a simple outfit the other day so I paired my blue tank with my black circle skirt and blazer, but there was something missing. So I decided to add my gold chain belt that added a touch of edginess to my entire outfit. The belt came with a dress I bought from Lulus a while ago and I love being able to take part of another outfit and using it with something else!

Simple and Feminine

I hope everyone had a great weekend and Father's Day! Just wanted to put up some pictures from my family dinner! My sister and I treated our parents out to dinner at Parkway Grill in Pasadena for both Father's Day and our mom's birthday! Kinda knocked two occasions out with one dinner! Yay us! 

Anyways, I wore this outfit to dinner. It is very simple and versatile. I actually wore this to work throughout the day but with some sneakers instead since I'm on my feet a lot. But for dinner, I just switched my sneakers out for my Steve Madden ankle strap pumps (which are my current obsessions right now!). Hope you guys like the outfit and have a great week!

One Dress, Three Looks!

Sorry I haven't posted anything up since last week but things have been busy and I didn't have time to take outfit pictures or edit. But here's a new post and I decided to focus it around one dress and just come up with three different looks. 

I know that sometimes you look in your closet and think you have nothing to wear, but there are numerous outfits you can come up with with just a few pieces! I am definitely guilty of saying I don't have anything to wear and run out to buy new clothes but I'm trying very hard to use what I have and be creative with it. Plus, it makes it kinda more fun! 

Anyways, so here's the dress I'm going to use. It's a dark glittery bandage dress. I chose something that's slightly harder to work with. I could have chosen a very versatile plain black dress, but let's have a little fun and make it a little more difficult!

Look #1

My first looks is a casual everyday look you can wear. I used the dress as a skirt and threw a tank and cardigan over it. The sparkle kinda adds a little something to the outfit but it's still very wearable for just an everyday look! I didn't want the footwear to make it too dressy so I threw on my leather boots. You like?...

Look #2

For a dressier look, I used the dress as a top. I put on a full black skirt over it and added a white blazer. You can wear this for a date or a night out or a very dressy day look. I'm always so mono-colored/chromed or whatnot so I added my bright red pumps for some extra dazzle! Remember, if you wear a skirt over your dress, to tuck your dress in or make sure your skirt covers it. I noticed in my last picture that the dress was peaking out underneath my skirt, but I guess I can just say I went for a peplum look ;)

The last look took me a little while to figure out but I wanted to find something to wear underneath the dress this time, so I put on a basic scoopneck white t-shirt. This makes it look like a completely different dress. A little more feminine and slightly more casual.

Thanksgiving Party Looks!

It's that time of year again where we eat our hearts out and forget about our previous New Years' resolutions to lose weight or eat better. I really love the peter pan collar trend and when I saw this black top with a sparkly gold under layer, I knew I had to have it. It is so girly and sparkly. I love it!

Sorry for the ripped pieces of tarp on the floor in my pictures. We have a tent for barbecues and with sun damage and wind, it kinda just fell apart. Time to remodel the backyard!

Red and Black

Found this flared skirt and was so excited because I had been wanting one so badly. I love the feminine silhouette and the sophistication all in one piece. It is super flattering and I love pieces that are so versatile. I paired it with my red peplum top, but I tucked the peplum portion in. It looked a little funny untucked. I'll definitely be wearing this skirt often!

Chiffon Slit Skirt

I have been looking for a perfect slit maxi skirt for a while now and stumbled upon this one on YesStyle.com. It is a great balance between dressy and casual and there are two slits- one on each side. I can definitely dress it up or down with a neutral color like black. It is super comfortable and breezy, which is making me want to buy it in another color. I wanted a creamy white or beige but I was afraid it would have been too sheer. I'll think about it!

Definitely having an Angelina Jolie moment!

Bohemian White

I have been in love with maxi skirts and dresses lately because they are so easy to wear on hot summer days! Being so petite, it takes a bit for me to find a dress that is the perfect length for me without alterations. I found this online because I wanted a soft white maxi dress. I loved this because I feel so demure and comfortable in it!

Mary Janes with a bow

Wanted a cute pair of shoes that were feminine and soft, so when I saw these on Yesstyle.com, I definitely had to get them. They are really comfortable and just adorable. And I'm in love with the color mint these days, so here's another addition to my mint collection.
