Lace in Puerto Vallarta

Went on a little trip with the boyfriend last week to Puerto Vallarta and stayed at the amazing Now Amber Resort! He only got a week break from school before having to go back again, so we decided to book a trip to somewhere relaxing and tropical. It was absolutely perfect and a great backdrop for my blog photos!

It was rainy in LA and I was super cold (yes, I know, LA people are such babies when it comes to the cold). So I layered a pullover sweater with a knitted cardigan and then a leather jacket over all of it. All bundled up now!

Orange Polka Dots

It has been scorching hot in LA for the past week or two and I find it almost unbearable to wear pants, but I have to for work. I've been wearing as many sheer blouses as possible because they are so light weight and breezy. I love the orange polka dots on this blouse and the way it ties in the front. It's very girly and fun at the same time, and most of all, it's super thin.

I hope that you're all surviving the heat wave. I'm hoping Fall comes sooner because I can't wait to wear sweaters and boots.

Temple in the Desert

My family and I were heading to Vegas for my dad's birthday and my mom wanted us to stop by this Buddhist temple on the way there. The temple is located in the middle of the desert and was really pretty. They had a large garden area full of statues and gazebos. It was definitely a unique experience.

Red Red Wine

I saw pictures of outfits with red pants and realized that I kind of liked it. Because I am usually color challenged, I thought I should play with colored jeans to add a bit of brightness to my wardrobe. I found these jeans at Jcpenney for $17, which were a definite steal! AND they are so soft and comfortable. I did pay an extra $9 for alterations though because they were super long on me. So I technically paid $26 for the jeans. Still good, I think. I was hoping for a deeper red, just because I felt more comfortable with a darker color, but they were out of my size, so I went with these. I think it worked out for the best. Now, I want a pair of mint green or pastel blue jeans! Aren't you guys proud of me?!

Winged Shirt

Today is my birthday and I am getting ready to leave for San Diego with the boyfriend! Yay! So excited. He made plans to go eat at all the places we've been wanting to try and go sight seeing at various places! I will definitely be taking pictures of our little getaway for you guys, especially the food.

Anyways, I know the post title is "Winged Shirt" and I show the shirt in the last picture, but yeah, there it is!! I bought it a while ago because I wanted something flowy and the sleeves were so unique, so why not? It's pretty comfortable and I loved the color. It also came in black. The thing is, after one wash, it shrunk a bit, which is perfectly fine with me because it was sort of long for me. NOW, it's the perfect length for my petite frame. YAY!

Day One in Denver

I went to Denver with my friends this weekend to visit a couple of our friends that live there and it was absolutely amazing! It was such a different place compared to LA and I loved it! The air was so fresh and everything was so calm and peaceful. Our weekend was activity filled and I barely got any rest because we had so many things we wanted to do and see. I'm going to break down my posts into three so that there is a post for each day we were there. Enjoy!

I went my my girlies to Chado Tea Room in Little Tokyo about two weekends ago and forgot to post up the pictures. So this post has an outfit and food pictures from weeks ago. I bought the Groupon for the tea room about two months ago and we finally found time to go together. It came with a package for four people where we each get sandwiches, scones, dessert, one tea of our choice, and $25 worth of tea to take home with us. I highly recommend going there even though it's kind of pricey because it was amazing! Everything was delicious and my tea was really really yummy. I think the one I chose was a white tea with caramel, vanilla, and milk in it. Yummm...

Petite Fashion Challenge #9: Heat Wave Appropriate

This month's challenge is being held by Fast Food and Fast Fashion and it is based on outfits that can be worn for both hot summer days as well as indoors with AC.

My house tends to be really really cold because my mom loves to keep the AC on all day long, but when I step outside, it's burning hot!! So I tend to wear things that is a happy medium between the extreme weather conditions. For my challenge outfit, I'm wearing a long sleeve top that I just bought with denim shorts and a belt. It's really simple but it is really comfortable for me to go out or lay around at home. The top is my favorite part because the sleeves can be rolled up and buttoned AND there are a series of buttons along the lower back!
