Distressed Cut Offs

It has been super hot lately, so I've been appreciating my denim shorts and sandals so much more! I bought these cut offs just recently because I only have a pair of denim shorts in my closet, so I thought, why not add one more to my collection. I wanted to get one that was a bit more distressed and high waisted since it looks so cute on everyone else. The only thing I was worried about was the possibility of my butt cheeks hanging out...Yes, I've definitely seen that a lot in the past month on other people. But since my body has shorter and smaller proportions, these shorts don't reveal anything I don't want seen! Yay for petite-ness!

Outdoor Street Food Cinema

Went to an event called Outdoor Street Food Cinema this past weekend and had a blast! It's an outdoor movie event where they show a movie (of course) and a bunch of food trucks show up to provide yummy things for you to eat! This past weekend was "Pitch Perfect", so they had acappela performances, singing contests, and some actors from the movie show up for a Q&A. I, of course, indulged in the food trucks and just laid around enjoying the beautiful weather and company of my friends!
What a great way to spend a summer night, right?! Definitely try to check out this event. I think it happens just about every weekend during the summer, so look up their schedule and choose a weekend!

Tobi Maxi Dress

I am loving this maxi dress from Tobi right now because it's so soft and I love the side slit that adds something different to it. I paired it with a sheer tank for a casual Spring look. Definitely going to be wearing this a lot when the weather gets warmer and on a Summer vacation! It is really really long on me (if you haven't noticed), so I am going to have to take it to get hemmed soon. I was just really excited to show it to you guys first!

Black and White Simplicity

Happy Monday, everyone! Here's a new outfit post! I rarely get to wear my black pencil skirt, so I decided to wear it the other day and paired it with my metallic foil blouse, which you've seen from my holiday looks post. I've been absolutely loving my "gold bar" belt. It adds a bit of edge and fun to my outfits that need a little more cinching. And it doesn't hurt to add some more color with bright blue pumps!

Blue Stripes, Tights, and Boots

Good afternoon everyone! I worked about 10 hours yesterday and it felt so nice to sleep in today, but I do have work later tonight, unfortunately. It's okay, I had time to create an outfit post for you guys! I rarely wear tights and I thought I should whip them out for a cute casual look! I paired them with some black high-waisted shorts and a comfy striped top.

I'm so excited because I'll be going to San Francisco this weekend for a friend's bridal shower! Definitely look out for some pictures! Maybe I'll whip out my tights again for the weekend, since it gets pretty cold up there!

Holiday Party Looks!

Happy Holidays everyone! I have been trying to figure out what to wear for my holiday parties and I wanted to put in "Christmas-y touches" into these outfits just to be more festive and show my holiday spirit. From hints of sparkles, reds, and greens, I was able to come up with these three ideas! I hope you like them and find some inspiration for your own outfit!

Love you all and I hope that your holidays are full of fun and love!

Casual Metallics
This outfit is more of what I'm going to wear to a holiday party. I love being casual and comfortable, so I used a metallic ivory top that adds a small hint of fun and sparkle. In certain lights, I'll be GLOWING! :) It's been cold so booties and blazers are my best friends right now! And, I love wearing beanies in the Winter because  I feel like it gives you a bit of edge to your style, so I'm wearing my light grey beret/beanie.

Dressy Embellishment
I bought these jacquard shorts just last week at Forever21 and my boyfriend was wondering why I was buying shorts in the Winter. I'm thinking, WHY NOT?! My reasoning is that we live in LA and it's never really really cold here and I love the shimmery finish and pretty floral embellishments on it! Who could resist?! With this outfit, I wanted it to be slightly more dressy and fun, so I played with a hue of green and I paired it with my shorts with it's perfect shimmery finish! My white leather blazer with the black lapels makes it slightly more edgy rather than super soft and feminine.

Flirty Red
Who could resist this Winter's most popular color? Deep red! I saw this dress on Asos during their Black Friday sales and knew that I had to have it! There's mesh and a bow design on the front with a fun girly full skater skirt. It didn't come in petite sizes so I had to take it to the tailor's for some alterations. The skirt was pretty long and hit me somewhere slightly below my knees. I don't want to look frumpy and shorter than I already am, so my tailor cut it so that it was a couple of inches above my knees. Paired with my sparkly strappy heels and you have the most holiday appropriate outfit EVER!
I know that it might be much colder everywhere else, so if you want to wear this, add some black tights and black pumps with a dressy blazer or coat over it. PERFECT!

Dumpling House Date

My boyfriend and I went out to the new Mama Lu's Dumpling House in Monterey Park just to try it out. We ordered some pan fried dumplings, beef wraps, and this interesting dish with spare ribs in coffee sauce. Yes, that's right, coffee sauce. Once again, I ate before I could take pictures (such a fatty), so I was only able to take a picture of the beef wrap.

But I did get in some outfit pictures before I went to dinner, so enjoy!

Flowers for my MOMMY!
Happy Mother's Day everyone! I spent most of this week figuring out what to get for my mommy. I ended up going to have lunch with a friend at the Cheesecake Factory in the Americana at Glendale and then heading to H&M to get my mom some blouses for work. I hope she likes them!

Earlier today, I went to Boiling Crab to get some take-out food for her and then stopped by to get some flowers with my sister. We had a whole lunch feast for her with flowers and presents. Now, she's relaxing on her bed at the moment. I think this is her ideal lazy day! I hope she enjoyed everything. LOVE YOU MOM!

The Usual Cravings

Cuban sandwich and fries from Cheesecake Factory

I went to Cheesecake Factory last week with my friends and got some lunch. I haven't been there in a really long time and forgot how big their menu is. I swear I had to cut my options down to four choices before choosing the cuban sandwich. It was so good and I was only able to eat half of it. The fries were delicious- they're my guilty pleasure. I can never resist fries.

I've been trying to find good places to take pictures and thought the simplicity of my couch was perfect- plus, I get to sit down and feel comfy. Sorry, you can't really see my shorts. They're trouser shorts in an olive brown and high waisted (if you want).

As for my cravings lately, I've been craving a lot of pastries and sweets. I made my way to the pantry in our kitchen to find a box of these chocolate crepe bites. They are so light and crispy. I finished the entire thing in a sitting pretty much. I need to find out where to buy more though. We got them in a gift basket, so I don't really know where to buy them individually.
