My birthday twin

So, I share a birthday with one of my friends and we usually celebrate it together. This year, our friends took us out to an Italian restaurant in Downtown called Colori Kitchen and then to a bar and club. I'm not much of a "clubber" because I usually like to just relax at home and just go out to eat, but we had loads of fun that night. The restaurant was so good- everything was cooked to perfection!

Birthday Birthday!

I celebrated my dad's birthday this weekend and got him a cake from Portos. He loves fruits and I thought it would be great to try the Meringue cake with fruits.  The cake had yellow sponge cake soaked in some brandy with peaches in the middle and really fluffy whipped frosting everywhere. It was delicious actually. It was not too sweet, which is something my family appreciates. Doesn't it look so pretty?!!

Birthday Night Out

On Saturday night, we went out for my best friend's (Ashley) birthday. We wanted to surprise her, so we didn't tell her where we were going for dinner. We went to a restaurant at the Americana in Glendale called Granville. The food there was DELICIOUS. I shared a spinach salad and salmon sandwich with George-the portions were perfect for the both of us. The spinach salad had bacon, deviled eggs, and tomatoes in it and the salmon sandwich came with these potato chips that were absolutely wonderful! We couldn't stop eating them and couldn't stop other people from stealing them.

After dinner, we went to the lounge called the Griffin. It was very rustic with brick walls inside. There were two fireplaces for people to sit around and reminded me of a tavern. We sat near one of the fireplaces and some people got drinks. It was pretty fun, considering I don't drink. But according to everyone else, their beer was good.
Ashley said that she had the best time. Her birthday is like a week celebration each year because she's so special. I'm just glad she had fun.

Two Disneyland trips in ONE WEEK!

This past week, I went to Disneyland twice!! At least I had a day in between to rest and regain energy. I went on Wednesday with Ashley for her birthday and we had tons of fun. We just did the things we absolutely wanted to do and it was really empty there- thank god!! Since it was her birthday, she wanted us to wear matching clothes, so I accommodated to her requests. That silly silly girl. We wore our matching OHANA shirts that I designed for Christmas and black cardigans. While we were at Disneyland, I bought a ring with my birthstone on it and easily convinced her to buy one herself...hehe...

Even though she's crazy sometimes, I love her. haha!

The second time I went was with George, Scott, and Reggie. We spent the ENTIRE day there and watched World of Color too. It wasn't too crowded considering it was a Friday. We didn't even need any fast passes for the day.
Scott packed as though we were going to be gone for a few days. He had a couple changes of clothes, six apples, six water bottles, a few pb&j sandwiches, breakfast burritos, zipblock bags of chips, cookies, and a monster. I know, crazy, huh? But he was definitely prepared to save money.
I definitely had a lot of fun but by the end of the day, I was dead tired. My feet were hurting but at least this time, they weren't swollen. Yes, once I came back from Disneyland and my feet were VERY swollen. The arch of my foot had a huge ball tumor thing and George had to help me rub it down. But it was so painful. NEVER AGAIN, I hope.
