Casual DIY Denim Shorts

I was looking through my closet and found some old jeans that I never wear anymore because they don't fit me properly. The bottoms are flared and they were still a little too long on me, so I looked up DIY denim shorts and decided to cut them up! Here's the final product and I think it looks pretty good for my first one! I just drew a line where I wanted the shorts to start and cut around the entire leg. It took a couple of more fixes to make sure they look even. I then added slits on each side of the shorts just for a small touch. I wanted the shorts to look a little frayed and distressed so I cut a slit near the pockets too(but make sure not to cut the pockets themselves, they're useful!). I then got a pair of tongs and tweezers and started pulling out the loose threads near the pocket slit and the bottom of the shorts to make them look the way I wanted. After washing them and drying them, the frays looked a lot better! You guys should give it a try to old jeans that you don't wear anymore!
