Kings Row Gastropub

Earlier today, a few friends invited me to go to Happy Hour at Kings Row Gastropub in Old Town Pasadena. I'm always up for earlier cheaper dinner, so it was on! It was a very trendy bar with a "retractable" roof (I believe that's the term for a roof that can be removed...) Anyways, it also has an outdoor patio and big screen TVs everywhere. You order at the bar and get a number to bring back to your table and then they bring your food to you. Easy right? I wasn't too hungry because I had a late lunch, but my heart was set on the beef cheek poutine the moment I saw it on the Happy Hour menu. I was very happy with my choice and was able to pick off of my friends' dishes as well. They have the tandoori pizza, fish and chips, burgers, and a couple of other things on the Happy Hour menu, so you have many options. If you're a drinking enthusiast, there are deals on wine and beer as well. 

Marstons

On the weekend, I went with my friend to a bridal convention and after dealing with a bunch of vendors trying to sell us their wedding products and whatnot, we got hungry! So we went to a small eatery called Marstons for brunch. They had a lot of choices but their specialty was the corn flake french toast (couldn't get a picture, because I got too excited and ate before remembering to capture it...) But I did get a picture of my Florentine Benedict. No meat on it, because I was kinda trying to be healthier. Didn't really help to eat potatoes and french toast though...It was pretty busy there so you know it's good. Definitely give it a try if you're craving brunch in the Pasadena area.
