Valentine's Day Dinner at Home

So my boyfriend and I decided to have a nice cooked meal at home and watch the Grammys for Valentine's Day. We made cheese fondue, herb crusted prime rib, and garlic fries. Here are pictures of the process:

A cut of New York roast

Fresh rosemary and thyme

Mixture of olive oil, rosemary, thyme, and garlic

Rub the meat with salt, pepper, and the herb mixture and put it ontop of a pan or tray. Stick in oven for 15 minutes in 425 degrees and then let it bake in 350 degrees for another 35 minutes of you want medium rare.

CHEESE FONDUE

Grated gruyere and swiss cheese

Blanched vegetables for dipping

Stir in cheese mixture, white wine, butter, milk, and garlic into fondue machine

FINISHED PRODUCT

Dip veggies and bread into cheese fondue

Let steak cool for about 10-15 minutes in juices and then take it onto a cutting board to slice while you make au jus with the burnt bits and juices from the pan.

MY PLATE! Yummm...

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Spend it with your loved ones and enjoy!
