Hot Summer Weekend in LA

It was super hot in LA this weekend, so my sister and I decided to walk to an ice cream shop close by to us. Even though it was just a couple blocks from our house, I felt like I was melting faster than my ice cream!

Asymmetry

I saw this skirt when I was browsing on Tobi and knew that I needed to have it! The asymmetry is so unique and adds a little extra oomph to your outfit. Yes, I said 'oomph'. Anyways, I love pieces like this that can be very versatile and make a statement to each outfit you come up with. My only concern when ordering this was the length of the longer side of the skirt, but it turned out to be perfect (as in, not dragging on the floor). My legs are short- well, I'm just short in general so if you're taller than I am, then this wouldn't be a problem for you at all. 

I paired the skirt with a regular black slouchy tank and cinched in my waist with a thick black and gold belt. I  know, this is kinda straying away from my rant about how I need to add more color to my wardrobe, but come on, you need to give me some time to gradually work on this :)

You can also dress the skirt down with a tank in a brighter color and some sandals to wear out during the day if you're looking for a more casual look. I'm very excited to wear this more often!

Tomato High Low

I bought this dress a couple of weeks ago to kinda spruce up my wardrobe and add more color. I absolutely love my neutrals and nude colors but I have to admit that I need some liveliness in my clothes! When I saw this dress, I loved the high low aspect of course, but the cut is very casual comfy and easy to wear. The color was super super pretty, so I thought, why not? I could work with it. I am looking forward to wearing it for the Spring and Summer for trips to the beach. The flowiness is perfect as a cover up or day dress. I have to admit, the color makes me happier when I wear it! I paired it with strappy turquoise sandals which added another pop of color. Oh yeah, I went all out with brightening up!

Red Peplum and Knee High Boots

I took these pictures on a rainy day last week in LA, but the weather has gotten sunnier these days, which is pretty nice. I have been adding a lot of red to my wardrobe because reds have been very popular this season, especially dark reds or burgundies, and because I want to be more festive! I bought this top about a year ago and I love the little details it has. I love peplum, first of all, but there are also buttons along the back. It was way too cold for me to take off my sweater and take a picture of it for you, but please take my word for it :)

I wanted a casual look for work that day so I added on chunky accessories to my outfit as well as my brown suede knee high boots. The boots are super comfortable and I'm not exactly sure if they are very petite-friendly, but I love them, so I don't care! haha!

Flower Power

Felt like channeling my inner hippie and wore this lace floral dress with my new wedged booties. Summer has been pretty good to me so far and I've been loving how I could wear shorts and dresses every day! I've worn this dress for another post before but I love how I could use it for different looks.

I am going to Vegas this weekend for a going away thing for one of my friends, so I'll be posting up pictures from our fun weekend sometime next week! I'm so excited to show you my Vegas outfits for the pool, walking around, going out at night, and so on! Stay tuned!

Mint Green Shorts and Strappy Heels

I love wearing a white tee or blouse with colored shorts. I feel like it's the best casual summer outfit! I also bought these strappy heels from Shoedazzle.com a while ago because I've been loving strappy shoes. I know they tell me to not wear straps because it would cut my legs and make me look shorter, but I don't care! I love them and the support they give me.

Scarves and Sandwiches

Above is a new outfit post. I just wore that for work one day because it gets really cold at work sometimes. I just bought that coral infinity scarf and I love it! I have a thing for scarves and have them in as many colors and patterns as you can think of, but I never got a circular infinity one, until I found a few at Forever21 last month! Now, I see it everywhere! How funny!

The other sets of pictures I have up there are from a lunch I had with my girlies during the week. We went to Aroma Cafe in Studio City to try it out. It was sooo delicious. I got the lobster sandwich, which to me was like a lobster BLT. LOVED IT! I got a bite from each of my friends' dishes too and I have to say, everything they make there is delicious. Definitely a recommendation from me! Oooo! And also try there cream Italian sodas. I got the raspberry cream Italian soda and it was perfect.

Winged Shirt

Today is my birthday and I am getting ready to leave for San Diego with the boyfriend! Yay! So excited. He made plans to go eat at all the places we've been wanting to try and go sight seeing at various places! I will definitely be taking pictures of our little getaway for you guys, especially the food.

Anyways, I know the post title is "Winged Shirt" and I show the shirt in the last picture, but yeah, there it is!! I bought it a while ago because I wanted something flowy and the sleeves were so unique, so why not? It's pretty comfortable and I loved the color. It also came in black. The thing is, after one wash, it shrunk a bit, which is perfectly fine with me because it was sort of long for me. NOW, it's the perfect length for my petite frame. YAY!

Almost Time For Wedding Season!

I have a few weddings to go to in the next few months and I'm soooo excited! I love love love weddings! The first wedding I will be attending is next weekend for my cousin. I'm so happy for her and I'm so excited to go!
