I went to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) last Friday to check out the Tim Burton exhibit, something I have been dying to go to since it opened in May! It's too bad we can't take pictures of some of the pieces in the exhibit because they were AMAZING! Tim Burton is such a great artist and he has created such a unique style that is personally his. If you haven't gone yet, YOU HAVE to go before the end of this month, because it will be gone soon. It is kind of pricey for my taste but I figured it's only once in a lifetime.
The food pictures are from Ten Ren's Tea cafe in Monterey Park on Atlantic. We were waiting for our movie to start so we decided to go there to grab a little snack to waste time. Above are the chocolate shake/smoothie, brick toast, and takoyakis (squid balls). They were delicious! I have been on a search for good takoyakis after having tried the ones from the food truck. For some reason, my favorites are still from the truck.
