Foodie Friday!

Le Pain Quotidien
Went to brunch with my boyfriend and sister the other day and decided to give this place a try. Everything looked super healthy and fresh, which is perfect for me and my sister since we've been trying to eat a little better. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves...

Eat at Fig Food Truck Tuesdays
This is my favorite day because I can pig out on food trucks for dinner! My best friend and I decided to share everything, so that we could try EVERYTHING. If you haven't seen my earlier posts before about this, it's where several food trucks meet up in a parking lot behind the 99 cent store in Highland Park every Tuesday night. There are different trucks every week, so it makes it worth going every week. There are some trucks that show up almost every week, but doesn't make them less delicious!

Foodie Friday

Grill Em All
Alhambra, CA

Grill Em All is a food truck that travels around LA and when I found out they were opening a restaurant, I knew that I had to go try it. I've had the truck before and it was amazing! Especially if you love different, but delicious takes on burgers! I decided to have this for dinner the other day with my sister and it was the best decision ever! We shared the Anvil Fries, which was made of duck confit, gravy, cheese, and fries. That was the most delicious thing everrrrrrr!! The duck was delicious and tender and there were also some fried bits of it scattered around. The gravy was also a great part of it and who can hate gravy on fries?

My burger was the Pig Champion and it had mixed greens, egg, Canadian bacon, 1/2 lb burger patty, and a champagne hollandaise. Once again, it was DELICIOUS!! Not the best idea if you're on a diet but if you wanna have a fun day, definitely come here for some burgers and their duck fries!

Foodie Friday in Instagram

Hi everyone! Happy Friday! Unfortunately, I'm at home sick and not feeling too well, so I started my weekend early but in a not so good way...

Here are my Instagram food pictures from this week, so I hope you enjoy and try out some of these things if you're in the LA area. Make sure to follow me on Instagram to see these pictures and things I encounter everyday! The link is in the left tab under my social media or you can search for my username: Jenniferanhdo

Have a nice weekend!

This picture is from LA Brewery in Downtown LA. I went here for a late night happy hour with some friends. One of them had a voucher for 4 beers and 2 appetizers for $29 I believe, so they enjoyed their beers while I enjoyed the foods! Sorry, not much of a beer girl. Actually, not much of an alcohol girl...Anyways, I also ordered the burger and fries because after 9pm, the burgers are $4 and the fries $2, where normally, they'd be $14 in total. So $6 for burger and fries, I think YES! I definitely recommend this place if you like burgers, appetizers, sandwiches, and different beers.

Got some cake at work and I definitely needed that bit of sugar in me for the rest of my shift!

Highland Park has their weekly Food Truck Tuesdays where several trucks show up around 5:30pm-9pm. I go almost once a month to get some delicious truck foods. This time, I was really excited because Frysmith was there and I've been dying to try it! Gotta have me some POUTINE (french fries with gravy and cheese curds)! So above are pictures of the things my boyfriend and I got. Yummy Tuesday night dinner!

Foodie Friday

Octopus Sushi
Went here for a late lunch/ Happy Hour with my sister and her boyfriend. If you're in Glendale, CA or shopping at the Americana, definitely stop by here for Happy Hour. Some of the premium rolls and appetizers are half off!

Food Truck Tuesdays
I love Food Truck Tuesdays in Highland Park! I haven't gone in a while, but this week I tried the Grilled Cheese Truck! And I think I made a great choice for dinner with the brie melt and tator tots! Yummmm...

Food Truck Festival

Hi everyone! I haven't blogged much this week because it was my cousin's wedding and I've been doing a bunch of stuff. I've been so preoccupied with everything that I forgot to tell you about my adventures last week at the Food Truck Festival at Santa Anita!

It was AMAZING!! I got a call from one of my food-loving friends in the morning and he told me that he is at the most wonderful place in the world- even better than Disneyland! I didn't believe him at first but then he told me that he was at the Food Truck Festival. It was only going to be there for that day, so I made it a mission to go. It was pretty cool to go to the Santa Anita racetrack because I have never been there and it's so close to home. There were so many food trucks parked all over the place and the aroma of all of the things were cooking surrounded the area. I was so overwhelmed by the choices that my friend and I ended up getting desserts mostly because that was the safe choice. My boyfriend got the lobster roll and sushi burrito. They were pretty good but I really wanted to try the Fresh Fries truck. By the time I reached the truck, however, it had sold out. So sad...

Here are some pictures of the day. I couldn't get the pictures of the food we ate because I have a bad habit of getting so excited about eating and then forget to take pictures of the food.

Stay tuned! I'll be putting up a post about my cousin's wedding soon!
