Foodie Friday

Northshore
Huntington Beach, CA

We made a pit stop here on the way to the beach over the weekend and it was pretty much the best decision ever! They specialize in poke, which is chunks of sashimi, usually tuna, mixed with different toppings and sauces. From what I know, it's a traditional Hawaiian dish. The boyfriend and I chose a half pound of two kinds. He got a salmon poke while I got a tuna poke covered in spicy mayo and avocado. You can choose to have this with either brown rice, white rice, or cucumbers. We didn't feel the need for rice, so we just got our poke on cucumbers. Super delicious and fresh!

Naples
Downtown Disney in Anaheim, CA

The boyfriend and I have annual passes to Disneyland and go maybe once every other month to get our money's worth. We decided to give this pizza place in Downtown Disney a try and it was pretty good! They make their pizzas more of a thin crust so if you like more of a deep dish, then you might not like it that much. I thought it was pretty good. We got the charcuterie plate, which consisted of different salami, proscuitto, and meats, breads, pickled veggies, and cheese. For the pizza, we got two individual sized ones- the polpette (meatball pizza) and the quattro formaggio (four cheeses with tomato and basil).
