Foodie Friday

Green Street Tavern

The boyfriend and I were passing through Pasadena and decided to just look on Yelp and find a place to eat. I just randomly chose Green Street Tavern from their great reviews, so we went and it turned out to be a small intimate lounge-like restaurant. We were seated right away and the servers gave us the daily specials, which sounded amazing!
We got the gnocchi as our appetizer and it was awesome! It was pan seared with kale, pine nuts, cheese, and a few different mushrooms. So flavorful and completely delicious. The boyfriend ordered a very popular dish, the wild boar meat loaf and I got the Cassoulet, which was duck confit with a stew of beans covered in bread crumbs. Everything was super fresh with so many layers of flavors.

I believe we made a great spontaneous choice to have dinner there and will definitely come back to try out other dishes!
