Budget Friendly Prom Looks!

I know I'm a little late on the prom posts, but there are still some schools that have late proms!

I thought about how expensive proms could be and how much you have to spend just to go out for one night. There are expenses for your outfit, tickets, hair, makeup, transportation, etc. So, I came up with outfits that I found just in my closet! First of all, I went to prom like 6 years ago, so I don't have my dress anymore, which made me use a lot of creativity for my post.

ENJOY!

Look 1
Dress-Papaya. Bracelet-Forever21. Ring-Jewelmint. Earring-Gifted.
I have this black maxi dress with a really pretty back and I thought with the right accessories and everything, you could definitely dress this up. Plus, it is super comfortable! I added on a hinged bracelet, ring, and sparkly earrings to make it more formal. For my hair, I pinned it to the side for a glamorous feel to it. I just showered so I wasn't able to curl my hair the way I wanted to. It should look more glamorous if you curl it properly.

Look 2
Dress-Go Jane. Necklace-H&M. Ring-Forever21. Belt-Forever21. Shoes-Reflections.
I found this pretty white dress in my closet and the bottom has a bit of tulle/mesh giving it a little more volume. I thought this would be a great short dress for prom for those that aren't fond of long dresses. I added the belt to flatter my figure a bit more and put my hair up. It's definitely fun and flirty!

Look 3
Dress-Forever21. Necklace-Forever21. Shoes-Payless.
I also found this in my closet as well. My sister actually wore this before but she handed it to me because she didn't know where else to wear it. It is a satin dress with a twisted front. The red is such a pretty color and I love how it feels on. I wanted the dress to really stand out because of the beautiful color, so the only accessory I added was the jeweled necklace.

Makeup Look

I hope you guys liked my post today. Definitely look around for things in your closet you could work with and play with your makeup, hair, and accessories. You'll be surprised at what you can think of.

Stay tuned for my graduation looks next week!

  6. All three dresses look super beautiful. Maybe for prom a long dress is more suitable though...the short would go well to a cocktail party.
