Grand Central Market and Frolicking at the Park

Shirt: Forever21. Cardigan: Urban Outfitters. Skirt: Forever21. Sandals: Nine West. Necklace: Gifted.

My boyfriend and I went to Grand Central Market in Downtown LA to eat at the stands there because we saw it on the food and travel channel. When we walked in, there were so so many different types of food and fresh produce; it was kind of overwhelming because it made it harder for us to decide on what to eat. I knew that I definitely wanted the pupusas from Sarita's Pupuseria because that was highlighted on the show. After circling around a couple times, we decided on the pupusas and kabobs.

The pupusas were really really good. The cheese inside was so stringy and melted and warm; makes me hungry just thinking about it. We got two kinds: the mixed pupusa (pork, cheese, and beef) and the shrimp and cheese pupusa. They were both soooooo good. They also came with this pickled slaw that was really fresh and light.

The kabobs were delicious too. I forgot to take a picture of them before eating, so yeah...as always. It was also really good, but I ate a piece of the grilled jalapeno they gave to us, thinking it would be like bell pepper. I was terribly wrong. I was just a shock of spiciness and I just kept drinking my iced tea and leaving the ice cubes in my mouth, BUT NOTHING WAS WORKING! It was the hottest thing I've ever eaten and took about 10 minutes for it to go away. Other than that, the rest of the platter was delicious.

After eating, my boyfriend and I decided to take a walk to a park near his house, just to walk off our food and relax a little. We played on the swings and he sat on those rocking animals, but being so lengthy and tall, it looked slightly awkward. It was a pretty good day.
